Description of Project:

The overall objective of the project is to increase regional competitiveness by supporting enterprises and improving business, R&D, Innovation, Technology and ICT environment

The purpose of this contract is to provide technical assistance to support the Research and Technological Development & Innovation Initiative & Strategies in Kayseri and Yozgat provinces.

The results to be achieved are the following:

  • Improved performance, competitiveness and entrepreneurship of Technopark management and companies and knowledge intensive SMEs in the region.
  • Enhanced capacity for better assessment of needs and potential in the region ad required actions for the development of technology based and innovative businesses
  • Provision of networking scheme for the innovation centres
  • Increased awareness on technopark and innovation support programmes in the region

Services Provided:
  • Stakeholder and target group analysis
  • Field/market research conducted to find out the characteristic and needs of SMEs
  • Training Needs Assessment
  • Review and assess the current status of Erciyes TDZ and Yozgat Innovation Center in terms of research & development potential in the region, organisation, IT & technologic infrastructure, awareness, sustainability, services provided, economic impact in the region, etc.
  • Capacity Building activity regarding application evaluation by Technology Development Zone (TDZ)
  • Development of training materials and delivery of trainings in the following sectors: Entrepreneurship, Project Planning and Management, Project Sustainability, Patent and Intellectual property rights, Training of Trainers, Business/Product Development, Technology & Innovation Management, Funding-Application to R&D grants, bank credits, international grants & tenders, Sales & Marketing, Internationalisation & Networking, Financial Management/Accounting-Bank Credits/Acess to SME finance, Quality Management, System Engineering, Logistics Engineering
  • Consultancy to resident firms and outside entrepreneurs
  • Organisation of Study Visits
  • Development of a visibility/publicity/internationalisation plan to increase awareness of technopark in the region.
  • Development of a web site
  • Preparation of an animated slide show at the end of the project
