Description of Project:

 

Αim of the project is the creation of relevant methodologies and tools, as well as the development of action plan, implementation and evaluation with a view to effective integration of gender equality policies (gender mainstreaming) of Regional and Local Government and in particular the two (2) Regions - Central Macedonia and Thrace, and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

Specifically, the aim of the project is to support these local authorities to effectively and actively integrate gender equality policies in their program and in their actions in a systematic and organized manner, both in their internal organization and the design / implementation of policies in order to maximize the provision of services to benefited citizens.

 

Services Provided:

European Profiles within the project provides the following services:
Survey and assessment of the current situation in the internal and external environment of two (2) Regions, Central Macedonia and Thrace and the Municipality of Thessaloniki;
Preparation of Manual of Integration System of Gender Equality Standard Practice for the implementation of Gender Equality Local / Regional Programmes for two (2) Districts - Central Macedonia and Thrace - and the Municipality of Thessaloniki;
Calculate costs of implementing the proposed interventions in relation to the budget of the municipality and the Regions and alternative funding sources;
Specialization of the proposed impact assessment methodology of interventions with a gender perspective;
Preparation of an indicative timetable for implementation by stakeholders of the proposed interventions;
On-site Support and Monitoring of Gender Equality Local / Regional Programs for two (2) Regions of Central Macedonia and Thrace and the Municipality of Thessaloniki;
Design and implementation of public and dissemination actions ;
Design databases with organizations involved in gender issues at local and regional level;
Preparation of regular biannual reports on the activities of each municipality and region.
