Description of Project:

 

Overall objective

To overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows: promotion of sustainable tourism in Belarus as source of country’s regional development.

 

Purpose

Purpose 1:To improve interaction and cooperation among regional and local administrations, tourism service providers, and other relevant national and local stakeholders through supporting creation of local tourism clusters (destinations);

Purpose 2:To support the local and regional stakeholders in tourism strategy development and implementation through introduction of European best practices and expertise in tourism management;

Purpose 3:To enhance the range and quality of tourism services through capacity building for the local service providers.

 

Tasks

1.Preparation of a Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy and Action Plan for each tourism destination;

2.Capacity Building Programme for tourism stakeholders and decision-makers;

3.Support to the Implementation of the Strategies and Action Plans.

Services Provided:

Component 1: Preparation of a Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy for each tourism destination

Sub-component a.1: Gaps and Needs Analysis and Analytical Studies for 4 participating destinations

Activity A1.1. Conduct value chain analysis

Activity A1.2.Conduct demand analysis

Activity A1.3.Analyse local capacity gaps and conduct needs analysis of tourism sector stakeholders

Activity A1.4.  Develop and Conduct Myadel Tourism Satellite Account Survey
