TA provision helping to identify the assistance required by the NAO to ensure that outputs defined below are produced, but avoiding taking over the responsibilities from the NAO:

Follow up on progress made regarding the closure of all EU financed projects under decentralised management (STABEX and EDF financed projects). Identify problem cases and search for quick solutions.

Provide regular updates on state of play to the Delegation

Develop together with the NAO procedures on how to facilitate the implementation of EU funded projects through the Special funds and other thematic instruments

Establish mechanism to regular consult with concerned line Ministries

Assist the NAO to keep regular records of the implementation status of EU funded projects

Encourage the NAO to discuss problem cases that obstructs the implementation of EU Financed projects, with the concerned partners including the EU Delegation

Continue to moderate discussions between NAO and EU Delegation on how to address non-traditional cooperation issues for reciprocal benefits.

Develop together with the NAO strategies and procedures to assist the EU Delegation in new field of cooperation

Develop together with the NAO procedures to inform regularly stakeholders of non-traditional cooperation activities

Assist the NAO to establish and further expand working relations with institutions involved in regional projects

Assist the NAO in identifying priority fields of interest and intensify exchange on this subjects

Establish together with the NAO mechanism for information sharing with stakeholders.

Assist in preparing and follow-up of meetings between NAO and EU Delegation

Assist the NAO in identifying the training needs that enable the NAO to facilitate the requirement for the new modality.

Assist the NAO is identifying conference and Seminars for participation by the EDF staff and/or other Sudanese Stakeholders

Assist the NAO on developing its financial reporting system in order to contribute to improving the MOFNE/ financial reporting system ( Aid Effectiveness)
