Description of Project:

Objective of the project is the development of an application for the Disability Issues Observatory, which operates under the supervision of the National Confederation of Disabled Persons (ESA.M.A.).

Action 2.3 Pilot operation of the Observatory (PHASE A)
The project incorporates the Accessibility Principle for people with disabilities, which has now become a prerequisite for receiving public funding from the EU funds. |

Services Provided:

The project consists in the implementation of the following thematic units:
PROJECT COMPONENT 1st: Design and Development of the Observatory's Integrated Information System – Users’ Training. Task 1.1: Developing an Integrated Information System (IIS) Task 1.2: Development of methodological tools and indicators for monitoring and evaluation of disability policies and issues Task 1.3: Develop an accessible web portal and integrate accessible content Task 1.4: Training administrators and system operators
PROJECT COMPONENT 2nd: Developing a Project's Accessible Website Task 2.1: Design, development and evaluation of the Project's accessible website - Publishing of e- newsletters.
PROJECT COMPONENT 3rd: Pilot Phase operation Task 3.1: Install and support the pilot operation of the application for six months period (Phase A’)
Project results are fully accessible to people with disabilities. For this reason, Project interventions adopt the "Design for All" principle by setting terms and conditions for accessibility to ICTs. for people with disabilities based on internationally recognized rules, W3C accessibility guidelines, and in particular the new version 2.0 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.0 or WCAG 2.0. |
