Description of Project:

The main objective of the project is to contribute to safer products and services in Ukraine, to improve performance of the Ukrainian economy to produce EU and international compliant goods and services, and to increase foreign investments, by aligning the Ukrainian infrastructure for quality with the international and EU regulatory and administrative practises as agreed in the EU-Ukraine Action Plan on an ACAA of 19 December 2005.


Main activities:

1: To support reforming institutions of the Ukrainian infrastructure for quality, to make them EU-compatible, as required by the ENP Action Plan and ACAA Action Plan and to consolidate reviewed responsibilities, governance and accountability mechanisms.

2. To assist in the strengthening of the Ukrainian Economy to produce EU and internationally compliant goods and services, through assistance in developing the understanding of the EU Internal Market Quality Infrastructure system, and the dissemination and awareness of new legislation in the corresponding technical fields.

3. To support the transposition of EU and internationally compliant legislation and standards and removal of outdated Ukrainian legislation and standards in relevant fields.
