Description of Project:

The central objective is to assist the Ministry of Health of Moldova to develop a primary health care system and to strengthen its health management capacity.

Outputs under the first componrnt of the project include:

  • The elaboration of a 5- year stratefic plan for developing primary care services,
  • Technical assistance for implementing the plan including the preparation of revised university primary care curricula, as well as training actions (in the form of study visit) for key personnel of the Ministry.

Outputs under the second component include:

  • The elaboration of a 5-year strategic plan for strengthening of health management skills and for strengthening the organisation of the health system.

Services Provided:

Provision an EU expert in health economics, a local expert in health promotion and education as well as local logistic support through its Moldova associate branch
