Description of Project:

The aim of the project KALLISTI was to design and implement innovative methods and tolls in order to promote the employability of women that suffer from multiple causes of social exclusion due to poverty, racial or ethnic discrimination and protect their rights.

The main objectives of the project were :

  • Identification and assessment of the characteristics of the labour market at national level
  • Analysis and specification of the results at local level (Athens-Patra-Didymoteiho areas)
  • Assessment and evaluation of the procedures and methods used so far by the participating support structures
  • Assessment of employment promotion policies
  • Produce an holistic approach aiming at developing social and professional skills for women
  • Teaching soft skills to the target group
  • Counselling to these women that fell they need career guidance and empowerment
  • Promotion of healthy self esteem
  • Training of Mentors which will focus on women that are in danger of social exclusion.
  • Work placements through innovative methods of training, flexible work practices
  • Raising awareness of employers
