Overall objectives:

To increase access and participation to initial vocational training and to support the adjustment and improvement of the VET sector, by contributing to enhanced adaptability and employability of labour force at the regional and local level


Activities undertaken:

  • Revision and improvement of TVET online and e-learning modules and practices in the field
  • Development of e-learning portfolios
  • Training for school staff in applying alternative learning distance and online tools

o Provision of specialist training to school staff involved in the application of alternative learning distance and online tools

o Training of the school staff also as trainers to be able to assist other colleagues in their own school and the associated schools of the network

  • Training and advice for the staff of the 16 regional support centres
    • The directors and deputy directors of the 16 regional support centres will be provided with management training and advice.
    • Monitoring plan for the activities run by the 16 regional centres1
  • Training for TVET school staff in providing alternative learning tools
  • Assistance in the use and development of Quality Assurance instruments
  • Peer Review and monitoring visits on the regional management of HRD
  • Training and advice on quality assurance
  • Training and assistance in relation to assessment procedures
  • Awareness activities and dissemination of project results
  • Revision and Development in Qualifications in TVET and HE

Services Provided:

  • Capacity building and advice provided to the National Authority for Qualifications to develop a National Qualifications Framework which facilitates horizontal and vertical mobility; nationally, locally and regionally.
  • Increased capacity of the relevant Romanian Authorities and actors in designing integrated and coherent distance and on-line training packages for TVET;
  • Number of VET qualifications pegged onto an agreed National Qualifications Framework.
  • Number of Romanian VET qualifications aligned to the European Qualifications Framework.

  • Number of qualifications developed for distance and E -Learning modes.
  • E-Learning packages for 50 TVET pilot schools completed.
