Description of Project:

Design of an SME Training and education programme to be undertaken under the Balkans Enterprise Facility of the World Bank and the IMF in Albania, FYR Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.

The project activities were to assess the need for training and education programs aimed at the SME sector

  • assess the effectiveness of ongoing, or already planned/committed, SME training and education programs
  • assess existing local capacities for designing and delivering training and education programs
  • identify suitable regional education and training institutes that could help design and deliver training and education programs

  • Survey of existing SMEs support structures
  • Training needs analysis of the SME sector
