Description of Project:

The overall objective of this study is the development of the region of Western Macedonia and Thrace in order to strengthen its position both in Greece and the Balkan region, and thus allowing the Industrial Chamber of Xanthi to obtain a competitive advantage in Cross Border Cooperation programmes. The study aims at identifying and evaluating the opportunities that exist within the priorities of the project implementation bodies of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, for the design of additional cross-border activities in relation to the Community Initiative INTERREG III A, with a view of a better and more efficient management and implementation of programs, as well as and utilization of resources. This project has identified business opportunities and formulated integrated CBC proposals between Greece and Bulgaria (primarily the region of Xanthi and the neighbouring Bulgarian regions), as well as drafted and published brochures for five selected business activities of Xanthi.

Services Provided:
  • Identification of opportunities and development of comprehensive proposals for the Cross Border Cooperation between Greece and Bulgaria (taking as a base the region of Xanthi and the Bulgarian bordering regions)
  • Drafting, editing and printing of brochures for five (5) selected business activities of the Xanthi region.
