Description of Project:

Adapting business support structures to the needs of an underdeveloped region, with emphasis added to the features of high unemployment and the low number of SME units. The Pomurje region is the least developed region in Slovenia, therefore the preparation and sustainability of a business incubation network initiative is conducted within well-devised components.


The study initiates an assessment of coherence in order to establish whether the path of socio-economic development is in line with regional characteristics and the national development objectives. In line with this approach an assessment of the present needs of regional businesses and a demand analysis with a feedback mechanism for a factual assessment of business incubation will cover the subject of creating a maximum employment potential. Additional assessment will involve potential buildings and sites for infrastructure developments prior to the Business Planning activity. The Phare 2000 project will be finalised with an Action Plan and the remarks of the final work component will be integrated into the Feasibility Study of this project.
