Description of Project:
|
The object of the two business plans which were conducted was to verify the viability and the financial feasibility of the reparative works which are planned for the ports of Souda (Chania, Crete) and Mykonos, under the framework of the Ministry of the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works, of total budget € 11,5 million through the next three years (2004-2007). Initially, a model of demand prediction was conducted for the financial analysis, the control of the importance of the proceeds and the sensitivity analysis based on the coastal traffic and the traffic of cruise ships. In continuity, the differential traffic towards the ports (of Souda and Mykonos) was estimated after the completion of the projects and afterwards the indices of financial feasibility based on the Guidelines of the Ministry of the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works for the evaluation of projects smaller than € 50 million. Apart from the financial analysis of the investment was also conducted a social and economic feasibility analysis of the planning investments. The evaluation of the social and economic effects from the implementation of the new additional projects was based on the assessment of the quantified expenditures of this purpose and the respectively major profits |
