Description of Project:

The overall objective of the project is to deepen knowledge and understanding of Regional Integration and in particular, the role and Caribbean Single Market and Economy.
The purpose of this contract is to promote stakeholder buy-in, stimulate and encourage active participation by stakeholders in the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) by executing a comprehensive Public Relations Programme.

There are four results to be achieved in this project:

Result 1: CSME Interventions for Schools
A body of messages and interventions for schools that increase interest and encourage career and skills development, based on an understanding of the opportunities offered by the (CSME), is developed, coordinated and delivered.

Result 2: Social Security Booklet
At least 30,000 copies of a booklet on Social Security is produced and distributed in the fifteen Member States of the Caribbean Community, excluding Haiti and Suriname.

Result 3: Television Advertising Campaign
One (1) public service announcement on the right of establishment is produced and placed in the twelve Member States which participate in the CSME and Montserrat.
One (1) public service announcement on the CARICOM Competition Commission and competition within the CSME is produced and placed in the twelve Member States which participate in the CSME and Montserrat.
One (1) public service announcement on free movement within the Caribbean Community is produced and placed in the twelve Member States which participate in the CSME and Montserrat.

Result 4: CSME Public Education Programme (PEP) Impact Assessment
An impact assessment on CSME Public Education Programme (PEP) is conducted and the final Report presented to the CSME Unit.

Services Provided:

• Preparation and delivery of training material which can be used for engaging students;
• Organisation and delivery of seminars/workshops/training in the following CARICOM Member States, namely Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis and Trinidad & Tobago.
• Finalisation of training material based of feedback from two (2) above.
• Production of a booklet on the regional system of transference of social security benefits within the CSME; Development of content and artwork of full colour booklet and printing and distribution of booklet.
• Production of three CSME TV Public Service Announcements and placement during regional prime time broadcasts;
• Execution of a CSME Public Education Impact Assessment through the development of questionnaires and implementation of research.
• Presentation of an assessment of CSME awareness and evaluation of how respondents are operating as a result of the awareness shown in 2005 baseline study.
