Description of Project:

The overall objective of the project is to study, design, develop and prepare the implementation of a new system of Assessment of Functioning and Disability in the Cyprus Republic, based on International Classification of Functioning (ICF) Disability and Health of the World Health Organization (WHO). ACTIVITY C’: TRAINING
ACTIVITY D’: AWARENESS & DISSEMINATION
Design and implementation of a wide range of dissemination and publicity activities aiming at the enhancement of awareness of all stakeholders (government agencies, Cyprus Confederation of Organizations of Disabled Persons - KYSOA, medical associations and other associations) of the reformative characteristics of the project and the expected results. ACTIVITY E’: INTERNAL EVALUATION
An internal evaluation mechanism monitors the project, incorporating valid evaluation tools (evaluation sheets for qualitative and quantitative detection, individual / group interviews, etc.) and present gradual and overall project outcomes through regular assessment reports and the final evaluation report. Direct beneficiaries of the project are the actual target group, ie people with disabilities of various ages, classes and abilities. Another group are medical doctors of related disciplines, professionals of rehabilitation, followed by public service workers concerned with the disabled. The indirect beneficiaries are the families of people with disabilities who will provide an authoritative assessment and evaluation of the problem, a comprehensive evaluation of competencies and capabilities of the disabled and extensive reports as well as support for managing the problem. |
