Description of Project:
|
The overall objective is to promote the development of the textile and clothing private sector by encouraging the growth and expansion of Small Medium Enterprises.
The specific objective is to reinforce the competences of the Business Intermediary Organizations (BIOs) in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, increasing their capacity to support SMEs and to influence policies in favor of micro and small scale companies.
The target groups/final beneficiaries are (a) the BIOs in the three target countries, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, (b) the SMEs related to the T&C sectors of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and (c) the related trade operators.
Main activities of the Project:
Estimated Results: (a) Permanent Partnership Channels to enable transfer of know-how and expertise exchange, as well as international business and commercial co-operation and diffusion of results, (b) Upgrading the skills of BIO staff members making them better equipped to service the local SMEs, (c) A stable ground for effective lobbying and advocacy functions in favor of micro and small scale companies
